Things You'll Need

• Permanent marker
• Yard stick (optional)
• Electrical outlet
• Electric carving knife

Instructions

1. Draw a guideline for the cut with a permanent marker on the surface of the Tempur-Pedic memory foam. Tracing the side of a yard stick can help you to achieve straight lines.

2. Plug in the electric carving knife and rev the motor on high speed as you press the tip into the guideline.

3. Slide the knife through the Tempur-Pedic memory foam along the guideline using a smooth, deliberate motion.

4. Spread open the new cavity created by the first cut, and make a second slice in the seam to separate thicker foam pieces.

Tips & Warnings

• Electric carving knives move very quickly through Tempur-Pedic memory foam. Always push the blades of the knife away from your body when slicing.
