The Best Way to Connect Modem to DSL Phone Line
Once you've received the DSL modem for your high-speed Internet service, you have two options for a quick and easy installation: connect your modem directly to your DSL phone line with the telephone cord that comes with the modem, or install a DSL filter in your telephone jack and connect the modem to the filter. A DSL filter should be used only if you are using a telephone on the same line as the DSL service.
