How to Roof Clean and Power Wash

A roof overrun by green algae is unsightly. You can clean a roof by scrubbing it with a brush and hose, but this method is tedious and dangerous. Hoses make the roof slippery to walk on, and you can easily become tangled in a hose and fall. Using a pressure washer on a roof allows you to conduct the cleaning process in a much safer and more time-efficient way. When using a pressure washer on shingles, it is important not to set the power washer to a setting that is too high, which will damage the shingles. Always test the pressure setting on one tile first. If the discoloration washes away easily with no damage to the shingle, use that same setting on the entire roof. Does this Spark an idea?
