How to Airbrush Camouflage
There are limited circumstances in which you will have to paint something camouflage, but knowing how to airbrush camouflage is essential in those instances. Military personnel have utilized camouflage's benefits for hundreds of years on vehicles and weaponry. Scale models of military vehicles also utilize camouflage painting designs.
Things You'll Need
- Gravity-feed airbrush
- Olive green paint
- Dark brown paint
- Glass airbrush jars
- Tape
- Black paint

Painting Soft Camouflage

Fill a glass jar with black paint. Spray thin coats of the black paint onto the item you wish to camouflage, keeping the tip of the airbrush 12 inches away from the surface.

Fill a glass jar with dark brown paint. Spray the dark brown paint on areas of the item in such a way that it looks like foliage at a distance. Keep the tip of the airbrush 12 inches away from what you are painting.

Fill a glass jar with olive green paint. Spray the olive green paint areas of the item in such a way that it completes the desired look of foliage at a distance. Keep the tip of the airbrush 12 inches away from what you are painting.
Painting Hard Camouflage

Fill a glass jar with black paint. Spray thin coats of the black paint onto the item you wish to camouflage, keeping the tip of the airbrush 12 inches away from the surface.

Cover with tape the areas of the item that you wish to remain black. Fill a glass jar with dark brown paint. Spray the dark brown paint on areas of the item in such a way that it begins to look like foliage at a distance. Keep the tip of the airbrush 12 inches away from what you are painting.

Cover with tape the areas that you wish to remain black and dark brown. Fill a glass jar with olive green paint. Spray the olive green paint so that the camouflage looks like foliage at a distance. Keep the tip of the airbrush 12 inches away from what you are painting.
