Instructions

    • 1

Insert the DVI end of the cable into your DVI output. Look at the holes on the wire versus the pins in the port on your computer, and line these up. Twist the screws on either end of the wire to secure it in place.

Locate the component video inputs on the back of your television. These will be color-coded red, blue and green. These will also be labeled input, something like "Component In" or "Video 5." Insert the component ends of these wires into these inputs, minding the color-coding.

    • 3

Set your television to receive a signal from your component video cables. You can do this using your remote. The button will read something like "TV/Video" or "Source." Check your television's manual for more information.

    • 4

Activate the DVI port on your computer. This can be done in a variety of ways, based on your operating system, video card and even the brand of your computer. Check your computer's documentation if unsure.
