1
Purchase a box of blank red or green greeting cards from your local stationery store or crafts store. Set aside.

2
Cookie cutters are great tools for greeting card crafts. Use a pencil to trace cookie cutter shapes onto cardstock in an appropriate color. For example, if you are tracing a gingerbread man, use brown or tan cardstock. Cut out the shape. Flip the cut-out over so that no pencil markings show.

3
Embellish the cookie cutter shape with squeezable fabric paints which will create texture. For instance, if you cut out a gingerbread man shape, decorate it with fabric paint "icing" such as drops of shiny red paint to resemble cinnamon candy buttons or eyes and white puffy fabric paint to outline the shape. Allow the fabric paint to dry completely (preferably overnight).

4
Cut a small strip of double-sided foam tape or weather stripping and remove any protective paper. Place the piece of tape on the back of the cut-out. Press the cut-out onto the front of the greeting card.
