Homemade Wine Charms
When the wine flows and spirits soar, it can be difficult to keep your wine glass differentiated from other people's wine glasses. Not only are wine charms an attractive and funky addition to the base of a wine glass, they serve a useful purpose because they help people keep track of their own wine glass in the midst of a gathering. Make homemade wine charms to place on the base of wine glasses using earring findings, beads and charms. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Hoop earring findings (1-inch diameter)
- Charms
- Colorful beads
- Chain nose pliers
Instructions

-
1
Open an earring finding wide enough to enable you to slip beads and charms onto the straight end of the hoop.
-
2
Place one charm surrounded by two colorful beads onto the earring hoop.
-
-
3
Bend the straight end of the earring hoop ¼ inch from the end of the hoop. Grasp the hoop at the ¼-inch point and bend it into a 90-degree angle so the end of the hoop points straight up.
-
4
Close the earring hoop by inserting the bent end into the loop on the other end of the earring hoop.
-
5
Open the wine charm by pushing the bent end of the earring hoop slightly to push it out of the loop of the finding. Place the wine charm around the stem of a wine glass and close it again by inserting the bent end of the hoop of the earring loop. Allow it to sit on the base of the wine glass.
