1. Get your Social Security number, along with the tax year you want to check.

2. Go to the Iowa Department of Revenue's "Where's My Refund?" website using the link in the References section.

3. Enter your Social Security number, the year for which you are expecting a refund, and the amount of the expected refund. Click on "Get Refund Status."
