The Xbox 360 video game system, produced by Microsoft, has sold close to 40 million consoles since its debut in late 2005. One of the most innovate features of the Xbox 360 is its ability to connect to the Internet using Xbox Live, which allows gamers to play multiplayer games online as well as download game demos and movies. Update your software if you have not connected to Xbox Live after October 28, 2009. If you have, the update has already been installed, and you may skip to step 7.

    • 3

Unplug the networking adapter from your Xbox 360.

    • 4

Open the disc tray and insert the installation disc that was included with your network adapter. Power down the console.

    • 5

Restart the console. The system will confirm that you would like to install the software. Select "Yes." Allow the software to install.

    • 6

Remove the disc from the console after the software has completed installing and attach the wireless adapter.

    • 7

Enter the "My Xbox" menu, select "Network Settings," "Configure Settings," and select "Wireless Mode."

    • 8

Select the "Scan for Networks" option, then choose your home network. Enter your wireless password if one is required, then select "Done." This will connect your adapter to your wireless Internet.
