Instructions

    • 1

Fold the scarf on the diagonal, into a triangle. Mark the center of the fold. Cut along the fold from one corner to the center mark.

    • 2

Measure the length of the cut. Double this number and cut a piece of ribbon this length, plus 1/2". Press a 1/4" hem on each end of the ribbon. Press the ribbon in half lengthwise. Pin along the raw cut edges of the scarf, which will be the V-neck of your top, and sew in place.

    • 3

To wear the top, tie the cut ends around your neck. The ribbon-bound V will be in front. Tie the side points around your waist in back in a square knot.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add a belt to this top for a more defined shape.

  • Make this an all-weather top by layering it under a blazer or cardigan.

  • If you are unsure about cutting halfway through the scarf, try cutting a quarter or third of the way and trying the top on to see if the V-neck is low enough.
