How to Adjust a Whirlpool Oven Thermostat
Whirlpool manufactures in-wall ovens and freestanding ranges. Both rely on internal thermostats to gauge the oven temperature. If your oven seems to be hotter or cooler than the temperature display suggests, you may need to calibrate your thermostat. Does this Spark an idea?

Press the "Oven Light" pad for 3 seconds. The display will show current calibration. Then the words "F Temp Offset" will appear. The calibration feature is activated.

Or, on some models, press and hold the "Bake" pad for 3 seconds. The oven display will show current calibration and then read "0 F CAL" or just "00."

Depending on the model, press the "Temp," "Temp/Time" or "Temp/Hour" pad. Press the up or down arrow pad(s) to decrease or increase the temperature. Adjust the temperature in 10-degree increments. You can make adjustments between 30 and -30 degrees F.

Tips & Warnings
Whirlpool suggests that you always wait for the preheating cycle to finish before using the oven. Some ovens will beep to indicate that the oven is preheated.
Wait an additional 10 minutes after the preheating cycle has finished to bake cookies, cakes or breads. Baked goods require adequate heat from the beginning of baking for proper rising. Allowing a few more minutes ensures that the oven is completely heated.
