Although a glass stove top is easier to maintain than a conventional stove top with recessed burners, it still requires regular cleaning to keep it clean and free of stains and debris. While there are cleaners you can purchase for keeping your stove top sparkling clean, you can make glass stove top cleaners that will work just as well for a fraction of the cost. Things You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Spray bottle
  • Baking soda
  • Nylon scrubber
  • Dishcloth
  • Dishtowel

Instructions

    • 1

      Fill the spray bottle with white vinegar.

      Spray the entire top surface of the glass stove top with the white vinegar.

    • 3

      Sprinkle the baking soda liberally over the vinegar on the stove top.

      Allow the baking soda and vinegar on the stove top to soak for approximately 15 minutes to absorb any stains on the stove top.

      Moisten the nylon scrubber with water and scrub the stove top, working the baking soda and the vinegar into the surface to remove the stains. Continue scrubbing until the stains lift and the stove top is clean.

      Saturate the dishcloth with water and use it to wipe off the remaining vinegar and baking soda. Continue rinsing the dishcloth and removing the vinegar and baking soda from the stove top until it is clean.

      Dry the stove top with the dishtowel.
