How to Activate Dell Automated PC Tune-Up

Dell offers Automated PC TuneUp, a personal computer maintenance application that sits on your computer. Before you use the software, you must activate it, a process that takes about five minutes.

Instructions

1. Click the icon with a "E" in the middle of it on your system tray in the lower right side of your desktop. A "Checking Computing Environment" window will appear.

2. Choose "Dell Automated PC TuneUp." Click the blue "Check Now" button.

3. Click "Enter Product Key." The "Dell Automated PC TuneUp" window will appear.

4. Type in your name and product key in the appropriate fields.

5. Click the blue "Continue" button to complete the process. Your tune-up software is now activated.

Tips & Warnings

• If you just purchased the service from Dell, you will receive your product key in an email. According to Dell, this can take up to a week to receive, depending on the form of payment you used.
