How to Attach Cat Whiskers to a Bow String
There are many different methods used to quiet the sound of a bow string when hunting. Loud string noise can spook game. "Cat whiskers" is the name given to a type of string silencer made up of a bundle of rubber strands. When attached to a bow, they look similar to actual cat whiskers. Cat whiskers are a popular way to reduce bow noise by reducing string vibration. They are inexpensive and are not affected by water, an important consideration when bowhunting in wet conditions.

Tips & Warnings
A small dab of super glue can be used on the cat whiskers knot to help keep it in place. Avoid getting super glue on the string or bow.
Cat whiskers can be installed between the bow strands of an unstrung bow if you are having trouble with the whiskers staying in place using a traditional knot on a strung bow.
Clamp the bow down to hold it into place when you are attaching the cat whiskers. This makes it easy to tie the knot and cut the whiskers without the bow moving around.
