Bowling Tape Instructions
Bowling is considered a sport, though it is commonly regarded as recreation. A bowler's grip is an essential part of successfully engaging in the sport. Bowling balls are made in numerous sizes and weights and the finger-holes are made to suit an average finger diameter. Since human fingers are different diameters, a bowler may need to use tape to get a better grip on the ball. A secure grip will transfer into a successful roll and hopefully translate into a strike. Learning how to properly apply bowling tape will ensure a greater success rate for serious bowlers.

Insert your fingers back into the bowling ball holes. If the thumb is too snug, remove a layer of tape. If it is still too loose, add another piece of tape. The ball should roll off the fingers smoothly without a tugging action on the thumb.

Tips & Warnings
You can use bowling insert tape as well. This tape is typically applied to the grip side of the thumb hole. It acts by enhancing the grip on the thumb. Try placing a piece in the hole. As with wrapping the thumb, if it's too snug, remove the tape. If it's too loose, apply another piece.
