How to Take the Screen Off a Rear Projection TV
Television screens for rear projection televisions are made from flexible plastic, not the glass that old CRT televisions were made from. While this makes them easily replaceable, it also makes them easy to damage. If your television is in a high-traffic area, chances are you will need to replace your screen at least once during your television's life.

1
Pop off the plastic frame that surrounds your screen. Pull on the corners and edges until the plastic frame pops loose. Pull lightly around the frame until the entire piece comes free.
-
2
Remove the metal frame. Now that the plastic frame has been removed, your screen will be held in place by a metal frame or perhaps a couple of separate metal pieces. Remove these with your screwdriver or adjustable wrench, whichever is appropriate. Be careful when removing these pieces, as the screen might simply fall out once the frame is gone.

3
Slide your screen free from the television. It might be loose already, or you may have to work it out from underneath a couple of tabs; this varies by the make and model of your television.
