How to Get Paragraphs to Fly in With PowerPoint

Animating your PowerPoint presentation is a great way to customize your slide show and hold the attention of your audience. Flying in text from the side is one of many animations that PowerPoint can perform. Doing so is easy and can be done in a few simple steps.

• PowerPoint

Instructions

1. Open PowerPoint.

2. Load the PowerPoint presentation that you would like to add animation to.

3. Select the PowerPoint slide with the text that you would like to animate.

4. Click "Slide Show."

5. Select "Custom Animation."

6. Highlight the text box containing the paragraph that you would like to animate.

7. Click "Add Effect," select "Fly In" and click "OK."

8. Click "OK" to exit out of the custom animation settings.

9. Click "Slide Show" and select "View Show" to preview the slide you are on.

10. Press the space bar when in "View Show" mode to trigger the paragraph to fly in.

11. Press the "Escape" key to exit the presentation.

12. Repeat this process for any other slides you would like to animate.
