Occasionally you may need to perform a hard reset if your Samsung i900 Omnia gets “stuck” somehow. The manual doesn’t mention how to perform a hard reset, but the option is available. In fact, there are several solutions. Several of them use the soft-reset button on the top of the phone near the camera lens.

Instructions

  1. By Menu

    • 1

      Open the main menu.

    • 2

      Click “Settings.”

    • 3

      Click “System.”

    • 4

      Click “Hard reset.”

    Reset Button

    • 5

Press the "Send" and "Call End" buttons simultaneously.

    • 6

Insert the stylus into the reset button (a hole at the top of the phone near the camera lens).

    • 7

Press the "Call" key to complete the procedure.

    Erase Memory

    • 8

      Open the main menu.

    • 9

Click “Settings,” then “Restart,” then “Erase Memory.”

    • 10

      Enter “1234.”

Tips & Warnings

  • As an alternative, if these options don't work, is to switch off the phone and press the Send and Call End buttons. Turn on the power button, holding it for a few seconds. Select “Format.” Select the Call Receive key.

  • Yet another alternative is to insert the stylus into the reset button, but don’t hold it there. When you first see the logo appear, press and hold Call and End Call for a few seconds. The format menu appears. Then press “Send” to select “Format.” Select the Call Receive key.
