Palm devices can export to Google through a computer sync.

Export your calendar on a Palm OS PDA or smartphone through a two-step process: First update your computer with the current information on your Palm OS device, then export your calendar from that software into Google Calendar.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect your Palm OS device to your computer with either USB or Bluetooth.

    • 2

Synchronize your Palm with the computer by pressing the Hotsync button on the USB cable, USB cradle, or Hotsync screen on the Palm.

    • 3

Launch your calendar software on your computer. Depending upon your existing synchronization settings, your Palm calendar will be stored in Microsoft Outlook (Windows), iCal (Mac), or Palm Desktop (either platform).

Prepare your Google import file as follows:

Microsoft Outlook: Choose "File" > "Save As," and enter a filename when prompted.

iCal: Choose "File" > "Export," and enter a filename when prompted.

Palm Desktop: Choose "File" > "Export as Datebook" and enter a filename when prompted. Google cannot directly read this file, so there is one more necessary step. Set up a free account with Yahoo Calendar. Click on the Calendar tab, then click on Options in the upper right, and choose Import/Export from the list of Management options. Click the "Choose File" button and select the file you just created in Palm Desktop, then click the "Import" button. When import is complete, click the "Export" button, and save the calendar as a comma-separated values (CSV) file. After this step is complete, you can delete your Yahoo Calendar account if you wish.

Open your Google calendar. Click "Settings" at the top of the page, then "Import Calendar." Select the file you created in Step 4. Your calendar will be imported into Google.

Using version 6.2.2. which I believe is the latest for the palm desktop, I exported date book to .dba file. Then in Yahoo, I went to calendar > options > import/export > selected the .dba file and clicked import. I got the message back that it was in the wrong format. Same thing on a second try. Tried to export to a VCal format and that was not even an option for file type in Palm desktop.
