How to Adjust Motion Sensor Lighting
Motion sensor lighting is a time and energy saver in your home, and you'll see its greatest benefits when you make it work for you. Motion sensor timing and motion sensor direction are two adjustments you can make to personalize the way your motion detector light fixture operates. Adjusting the timing sets the amount of time the light remains on after the sensor no longer detects movement. Adjusting the direction sets the location and the distance the motion sensor will detect movement. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Find the "Sensory Adjustment Dial" on the bottom of your motion sensor light fixture. The dial has three settings: "Low," "Medium" and "High." The "Low" setting means your motion sensor will only detect movement close to the sensor. The "High" setting means your motion sensor will detect movement from 10 feet away or more. The "Medium" setting means your motion sensor will detect movement at the distances in between.

Rotate the dial to the appropriate setting, then test it out. Walk in an area where the motion sensor should detect your movement and make sure the light responds as you desire. Adjust the "Sensory Adjustment Dial" as needed until the light responds at the distance you want.

Set the timing on the light by turning the dial, located next to the "Sensory Adjustment Dial." Rotate the dial until it displays the amount of time you want the light to remain on after the sensor stops detecting movement.
