1
Place a piece of floral foam inside a glass bowl. The bowl should measure around 8 inches in height and no more than 12 inches in diameter. The foam needs to be small enough for you to place pine cones and other items around the foam later on.
-
2
Stick the ends of fresh evergreen boughs into the floral foam. This will hold the boughs in place and allow them to absorb water.

3
Stick some sprigs of holly berry branches or red and white flowers into the floral foam. Arrange the plants so they make a nice bouquet. Fill in with some more evergreen boughs if you have gaps in your bouquet.
-
4
Fill the glass bowl with scented pine cones, potpourri and cinnamon sticks to add holiday aroma. This hides the floral foam and provides decoration for the centerpiece.
-
5
Check the centerpiece for gaps or holes and fill in where necessary.

Holly berries are poisonous, so if you have small children or pets you may want to omit them from your centerpiece.
