Items you will need

  • A Honda vehicle with keyless entry

  • a key to the vehicle

  • ALL keyless remotes to be programmed for the vehicle (you have to program them all together)

  • a non-programmed remote will work for this process

It's easy to reprogram your Honda keyless entry remote fob.

Did you buy a keyless remote entry fob for your Honda and need to program it? Did your battery die on your old remote and you need to reset it? No problem. It's easy to reprogram, and you don't have to take it to the dealer or pay a dime to buy instructions online. The steps are repetitive, but I broke it down into small, individual steps instead of saying "repeat this process 3 times." So it's repetitive, but easy.

Warnings

Note: Only 3 remotes can be stored in the system's memory. Remember to have ALL remotes that you want to program on hand. You need to program them all at the same time. For steps 2 through 12, each step must be completed within 5 seconds. For step 13, step must be performed for each remote within 10 seconds. A non programmed remote will work for this procedure.
