Microsoft Office allows users to apply their name to documents and presentations when they install the software. At times, however, you may want to change the name on the software so that a different names appears behind documents and presentations. This is a simple task that takes about a minute to accomplish.

Instructions

  1. Office 2007

      Open an Office application such as Excel.

      Hit the "Office" button. Go down and hit the "Excel Options" button.

      Click "Popular" in the left column.

      Type your new name in the "User Name" field under the "Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office" section. Click the "OK" button.

    Office 2003

      Open an Office application such as Excel.

    • 6

      Hit "Tools" in main menu bar. Scroll down and hit "Options."

    • 7

      Click "General" tab.

    • 8

      Type your new name in the "Name" field.

    • 9

      Click the "OK" button.
