Select one to three photos or pieces of memorabilia for your first single page of the scrap book. Choose a paper or card stock border for each photo. Adhere each photo to a border. Secure the border to the layout or page. You can use die-cut shapes for a border or cut one out with scissors or a paper cutter.

    • 4

Write your memory of the event or day that is inspired by the photos on a square or shaped piece of card stock. This is the journaling block. Adhere it to the page.

    • 5

Make or choose a pre-made title for the layout and adhere it to the page. Decorate the page with stickers, die-cuts or other embellishment.

    • 6

Make the next layout in your memory book. The next two layouts will be visible at the same time. They should have the same theme with a shared title or have complimentary colors for a pleasing appearance.

    • 7

Continue making layouts featuring journaling blocks that describe memories and tell the story of your scrap book.

Tips & Warnings

  • A book of memories can be done with card stock or paper that is all in one color.

  • Use archival safe materials for a memory scrap book.

  • Page protectors shield the photos from non-archival materials.

  • Less is better. Don't overcrowd the scrapbook layout and over shadow the importance of the photos and memories.
