How to Flash with Firmware on an Acer Aspire 1520 Laptop
In a computer, the firmware is the basic input/output system (BIOS). It contains the basic instructions for how the hardware in the computer works. If there is a problem with the hardware in a computer, such as the battery life in a notebook being below expectations, the problem might be resolved with a firmware "flash," a process in which the BIOS chip is overwritten with new software. Flash the firmware of your Acer Aspire 1520 if you have a specific hardware-related problem that you are trying to resolve, and you have been advised to do so by technical support.
