Instructions

    • 1

Go to your computer and open up the Internet. Make sure you are on a secure computer and not a shared computer.

    • 2

Turn on your printer, because you will most likely want to print after you have viewed your own credit report.

    • 3

Type in www.annualcreditreport.com and press enter to bring up the credit report website.

    • 4

Click on the drop down box on your screen until the desired state for the credit report for appears. Or you can simply type the first two letters of the state and hit your enter key.

    • 5

Click the request report box on the credit report site and fill in the fields on the next page. You will need name, address, social security number and verify by typing in the characters at the bottom of your screen.

    • 6

Check the box for the credit report agency you wish to receive your report from. There are three choices, these being TransUnion, Experian, Equifax. It is a good idea to pull the one opposite from the one you did last year.

    • 7

Click the next to be transferred to the credit reporting site of your choice. Fill in any information they require including verification questions and print.

    • 8

Make a note of when you pulled your own credit report and from which agency and go back next year and repeat this process. Use a different credit reporting agency than you did this year because all may be slightly different in items they report.
