How to Delete History on a VIP722

The Dish Network VIP722 stores many items in its history.

The Dish Network VIP722 is a high-definition digital video recorder (DVR). There are certain items that are stored on your DVR's history such as Pay-Per-View purchases and caller ID history. Also, all of the items that you record and save on your DVR are saved on the DVR. However, items such as Pay-Per-View history cannot be manually deleted. Therefore, the only way to remove all history from your DVR is to reset it to factory defaults.

Instructions

1. Turn on your television and your Dish Network VIP722.

2. Open your DVR's main menu. Press "Menu" on the remote control. This button is located in the top left-hand corner of the controller.

3. Select "System Setup" and then "Factory Defaults." The receiver displays a warning message that indicates that the receiver will be reset.

4. Select "Yes" using the directional keys on your remote.

5. Allow your DVR to reset to factory defaults. All history is now deleted from your Dish Network VIP722.
