How to Use Hand Grinders
Hand grinders are commonly used in kitchens to quickly cut large quantities of meat, vegetables and other foods. These grinders are very easy to use, and you can find them in electric or manual models. Despite how simple they are to use, meat grinders are very sharp and therefore dangerous. Always use extreme caution around these tools, and never directly press food into the grinder with your fingers, which could result in painful cuts or serious injury. Never allow young children to use a hand grinder. Does this Spark an idea?

3
Wash the grinder with soap and water again to ensure it is sterilized. Use the hairdryer to dry it again.
-
4
Cut the food into small pieces before inserting it into the grinder. Cut gristle off of meat so it does not stick in the grinder. Put the meat or food you are cutting on top of the hopper over the grinding wheel, and turn the handle on the side to draw the meat or food through the grinder. The grinder chops it into smaller bits as it passes through the blades.

5
Take apart the grinder after the meat goes through it, and remove any gristle or food that has built up inside. If you don't remove this, the grinder will clog. Grinder parts should come apart easily by hand with help from a screwdriver. Run the parts under water to remove the gristle, and pick out stuck pieces by hand.

6
Put the grinder back together, and rinse it with water and soap after each use. Remember to dry it with the hairdryer.
