How to Decorate With Mistletoe

The various uses of mistletoe go back to the Normans and ancient druids. Today, due to its toxicity, people generally use artificial versions of this green, white-berried plant for Christmas decorating. It's best known as a romantic decoration hung over doorways.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Artificial Mistletoe
  • Common Nails
  • Hammers
  • Hammers
  1. Step 1

    Choose the doorways where you want to hang artificial mistletoe. A few slender nails will probably be all you need.

  2. Step 2

    Place some silk mistletoe in your dining room table's centerpiece.

  3. Step 3

    Make room in your wreaths for additional mistletoe.

  4. Step 4

    Add some mistletoe to your garlands.

  5. Step 5

    Pucker up.

Tips & Warnings
  • Real mistletoe berries are extremely poisonous. Don't bring them into a house where children or pets live.
  • Beware of standing in a doorway topped with mistletoe - even a relative stranger might try to steal a kiss.

on 11/22/2005 I made my dehydrator from a refridgerator rack and an old hair dryer. I only had to buy thermoregulator and a timer. Maybe it's better to buy heater and a fan than to use hair dryer but it worked fine 'till now.
