How to Make Duplicate Transparencies

How to Make Duplicate Transparencies thumbnail
A good presentation depends upon audio/visual aides, like transparency projections.

Transparencies are helpful tools for teachers and seminar leaders who use overhead projectors. But how do you make duplicate copies of your transparencies so you can hand them out to students or participants? It's not as simple as duplicating the transparency on a photocopier, because most photocopiers are not designed to make identical copies of transparencies. Nevertheless you will probably have the tools right at hand to get the job done without much hassle at all.

Instructions

    • 1

Create your transparency pages, using your computer and the appropriate word processor or graphics editor. Alternately, scan graphics or text into your graphics program and edit according to your specifications.

    • 2

Select the appropriate transparency film for your printer (inkjet or laser transparency film). Load the transparency film into your printer's paper feeder.

    • 3

Open the transparency pages in your word processor or graphics editor. Select "Print" from the "File" menu. Change the "Number of Copies" to the appropriate number and click "Okay" to print.

    • 4

Remove each transparency as it finishes printing. Stack each transparency individually between clean pages of white paper, so the ink from one transparency doesn't bleed onto the bottom of the next transparency.
