  • Needle
  • Thread

      Thread the needle with whatever color thread you have chosen to work with.

      Single out a dreadlock that you would like to adorn with an embellishment.

      Thread the dreadlock through the embellishment and move the embellishment up or down the dreadlock until you have found your desired spot.

      Hold the embellishment in place with the fingers of one hand.

      Grab the end of the dreadlock and tie a knot right below the embellishment to secure it in place.

      Sew the embellishment into the dreadlock using the threaded needle. Make sure the the embellishment is secure.

      Cut the end of the thread so there is no visible thread hanging down on the dreadlock.
