A plug-in is a computer module that functions as an add-on to increase a program's or software's capabilities and functions. This includes the well-known Flash Player and JavaScript plug-ins. Plug-ins are essential to any computer's natural functioning. As a computer acquires more plug-ins, it is able to function better in the virtual world of computing.
