How Do I Change the BIOS Settings Using Phoenix BIOS Setup in My Acer Laptop?
The BIOS, responsible for the configuration of a number of devices and hardware installed on a PC, is an essential component in modern laptop and desktop computers. The BIOS boots the computer and confirms that all devices are working properly before handing over control of the PC to the operating system. Phoenix Technologies Inc. is one of the leading BIOS chip manufacturers, and a number of Acer laptops come installed with a Phoenix BIOS chip and software. The Phoenix BIOS allows users to change several of the laptop's boot settings, such as changing the primary hard drive or enabling or disabling the use of peripheral devices.
