Instructions

    • 1

Inspect the cable connection running from the Goldstar device to your TV. Make sure your connection cable is inserted properly and is running out of the "Out" port on the DVD VCR combo.

    • 2

Power on the Goldstar DVD VCR combo and press the "VCR/DVD" button to switch the setting back and forth between the two players. If you are currently on the VCR setting and need to watch a DVD, just press this button to change the setting.

    • 3

Push the "Video" button on the TV if the Goldstar device is connected through RCA cables (red, white and yellow circular cables). This changes the TV from the default tuner to the video input. If you are not on the video input, you cannot watch the content from the Goldstar DVD VCR combo.

    • 4

Open the DVD tray and spray some compressed air into the device. Over time, dust and other debris can build up on the DVD lens, causing it to skip during playback. Spraying compressed air can correct this issue.

    • 5

Insert a VHS cleaning tape into the VCR. Like the DVD player, dust can enter the VCR and clog the device. With the VCR the dust clings to the magnetic heads and prevents it from reading the tape on the VHS. Allow the VHS cleaning tape to play for a few minutes to remove the dust from the inside of the VCR.
