How to Configure a Previously Owned Blackberry

The best alternative for getting a cheap BlackBerry is to buy one that was previously used. When you purchase a used BlackBerry, it is best to configure it by wiping out all of the previous user's data files.

Press the BlackBerry menu key and open the Options folder.

Choose "Security Options" and then scroll down to "General Settings."

Press the Menu button and select "Wipe Handheld" from the list of options. Click on "Continue" to confirm your choice.

Type in "blackberry" and press the trackball when prompted to do so. Upon doing so, the BlackBerry will wipe out all information stored in its memory.
