Sync a variety of mobile devices to your MacBook with iSync.

The Mac OS X operating system installed on MacBook computers includes a program called iSync. This program automatically synchronizes the information in iCal and Address Book with non-Apple third-party devices. "Synchronization is the process of updating similar information (for example, telephone numbers) in multiple places so that each place has the same information," according to the Apple website. iSync supports a number of Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, Panasonic, Sony Ericsson, Siemens and Sendo devices. To configure the sync options on your MacBook, you need to add them to iSync.
