How to Clean a Wood Floor Without a Tap to Rinse
Wood floors are an attractive, durable flooring solution for homes and buildings. They are easy to clean and will last for many years if properly cared for. Cleaning wood floors consists of sweeping frequently to remove abrasive sand and cleaning the surface to remove caked on stains. Sweep the entire surface of the hardwood floor with a dust mop to remove all traces of dirt, sand and dust.

Pour one gallon of water into a bucket and add one cup of white vinegar.

Insert the mop into the bucket and allow it to sit for approximately five to 10 seconds to soak up the mixture. Wring the mop out as much as possible using your hands or the wringer mechanism on the mop, if it has one.

Place the mop on the hardwood floor and move it over a 6-foot by 6-foot area. Pay special attention to any stains or dried spills on the floor.

Dry the cleaned area with a dry towel immediately to prevent water spots from forming on the floor finish.

Move to another section of floor and mop it with the damp mop. Immediately dry the area with the towel. Continue mopping and drying the floor until the entire surface is clean.

Tips & Warnings
If no water is accessible in the location, take one gallon of bottled water with you along with the other cleaning supplies.
Reinsert the mop into the bucket frequently to rinse out the debris.
Make sure you wring the mop out thoroughly before placing it onto the wood floor as too much water will damage the floor.
