How to Remove the Bloodhound Virus
The Bloodhound virus goes by several different names. It has been reported as Bloodhound.PDF.9 and Exploit.Win32.Pidief.anm. Once it infects your computer, the Bloodhound virus opens a security hole that can be used by a remote hacker to access your personal information and to download additional Trojans and viruses onto your computer. The Bloodhound virus can also slow your computer, change your Internet and desktop settings and flood your computer with pop-up advertisements.
Instructions
-
Run Your Antivirus Program
-
1
Open your antivirus program. If you do not have an antivirus program, consider downloading Windows Defender (see Resources). Windows Defender is a free antivirus program created by Microsoft.
-
2
Open your antivirus program and make sure that your virus protection is up to date. Most antivirus programs have a "Check for Updates" or "Update Now" button.
-
-
3
Run a full scan on your computer using your antivirus program. Most antivirus programs will allow you to "Run a Full Scan" or "Run a Quick Scan." Running a full scan will search your entire computer for viruses, whereas running a quick scan will search only the areas of your computer that are most likely to be infected.

Click on the "Start" menu.
-
5
