How to Make Chocolate Seashell Wedding Favors
Wedding favors are an essential gift to thank guests for sharing your special day. Besides reflecting the theme and formality of the wedding, the favors should also be appropriate for all ages. For a beach-themed or water-edged wedding, seashell-shaped chocolates are an option to consider as they are relatively inexpensive and easy to make. Keep in mind, though, that chocolate seashell favors will need to be kept at a cool temperature to prevent melting. Package them elegantly in a treasure chest favor box or a simple tulle bag and you'll provide guests with a sweet send-off at the end of reception.

1
Choose the colors for the melting chocolate and tulle bags or treasure chest gift boxes. Select colors that match your wedding color scheme. Craft stores sell melting chocolate in a wide range of colors, including pink, purple, blue, yellow and more.

2
Combine a pound of melting chocolate with ¼ cup Paramount crystals in a double boiler or fondue pot. Place the double boiler on the stove top on medium heat. Allow the chocolate to melt thoroughly, stirring as needed. If you are using a fondue pot, plug it in and set it to medium heat. Melt the chocolate thoroughly, stirring as needed.

Spoon the melted chocolate mixture into each of the seashell-shaped candy molds. Fill each mold completely and set the molds on a cookie sheet. For a smooth, professional finish, place the cookie sheet filled with chocolate molds in the freezer for one to two hours. This will accelerate the hardening process and provide better results than allowing the chocolate to harden at room temperature.

Remove the chocolates from the seashell-shaped molds once they are completely hardened. Place three to four chocolates in each of the tulle favor bags.

Tips & Warnings
While Paramount crystals are not required for chocolate molding, they aid the melting process and create a smoother texture.
Place the chocolate molds into the freezer as quickly as possible; otherwise the chocolates will have a foggy look when hardened.
