How to Use Blendy Pens

How to Use Blendy Pens thumbnail
Regular markers don't blend like Blendy Pens.

Blendy Pens are two-color, double-ended markers designed to blend multiple ink colors onto one marker. Blendy Pens allow kids to create a shaded effect when coloring or to create writing in blended colors. Blendy Pen markers come in sets with colors that mix and match when you connect and twist them together using a special "color fusion chamber."

Instructions

    • 1

Select two different color Blendy Pens and place the pen tips into the "color fusion chamber" so that the tips face each other. Push the tips of the Blendy Pen all the way into the chamber until you hear a click.

    • 2

Hold the Blendy Pens up vertically with the main color you want to use at the bottom of the fusion chamber.

    • 3

Twist both Blendy Pens in opposite directions according to the arrows marked "twist" on the color fusion chamber. Hold the pens in place for five seconds after twisting.

    • 4

Remove the bottom Blendy Pen from the color fusion chamber, which will be charged with color from the top pen.

    • 5

Apply the blended colors from the bottom Blendy Pen onto the paper using a side-to-side coloring motion to release the blended colors until the ink returns to the original color.

Tips & Warnings

  • The longer you hold the twisted Blendy Pens in the color fusion chamber, the more intense the color will be.

  • A color-charged Blendy Pen will cover a 2-inch by 2-inch area of paper with blended ink.

  • Use another Blendy Pen in the top of the color fusion chamber after the first top color, then repeat the twist and hold for three colors in one Blendy Pen.

  • To clean a color off the tip, use the Blendy Pen on a scrap paper, twisting the tip around as you color the paper ro discharge the ink.

  • Always store Blendy Pens with two pens in the color fusion chamber to keep them airtight and moist when not in use.
