How Do I Erase My Web Search History?
To erase you web search history you will need to clear all your browsing history. This history is represented by all the web addresses you have searched and visited, as well as the web cookies stored in your system. All search activity you do through search engine sites are also stored through your web browser application. Although each web browser differs in menus, the general process is basically the same. Temporary Internet files and offline content is also a reflection of your web search history and you can delete that information through your browser's menu options also.

Internet Explorer

Launch Internet Explorer and access the "Tools" menu.

Select the "General" tab. Click on the "Clear History" button under the "History" section. Confirm the dialog box when prompted.

Click on the "Delete Cookies..." button under "Temporary Internet Files" section.

Click on the "Delete Files..." button if you wish to delete all offline content that corresponds to your web browser search history.
Mozilla Firefox

Launch Firefox and access the Tools menu, select "Internet Options" from the drop-down menu. For Mac users click on the Firefox menu and click on "Preferences..."

Select the "Privacy" tab and enable the check box that corresponds to "Clear browser history."

Select "Never remember history" from the "Firefox will:" drop-down menu if you don't want any of your web browsing history to be maintained by Firefox.

Click on the "Clear all current history" link within the History section. The "Clear Recent History" window opens up. Select all the items you wish to have erased (Form & Search History, Cookies, Cache, Browsing and Download History) then click on the "Clear Now" button.
Netscape

Launch Netscape and access the "Edit" menu and click on "Preferences."

Select the "History" tab then click on the "Clear History" button.

Click on the "Tools" menu, select "Cookie Manager" then click on "Manage Stored Cookies." Click on "Remove All Cookies" then click "OK."
Safari

Launch Safari and access the "History" menu.

Select "Clear History" from the drop-down menu. Confirm the dialog box by pressing the "Clear" button.

Go to the "Safari" menu, click on "Preferences..." then select the "Security" tab.
