Microsoft's Xbox 360 home video game console allows users to play online, watch movies, download from Xbox Live Marketplace and rip and listen to music. The Xbox 360's hard drives and memory units provide users with free memory space to save data, including song files to be played through the Xbox 360 system. The Xbox 360 allows users to take music off of their PC and put it on their Xbox 360 to play during their favorite video games.

Things You'll Need

  • Xbox 360 hard drive or memory unit (size optional)
  • Blank CD-R
  • CD burner or burning software

Instructions

  1. Burning a CD

    • 1

      Insert a blank compact disc into your PC's hard drive or CD burner.

      Open Windows Media Player or your PC's music burning program.

    • 3

      Open your Music library.

    • 4

      Click and drag all your song files over to the "Burn List." Make sure that you don't go over in file space on your blank CD or you will have multiple blank discs.

      Click the "Start Burn" option. When your disc has finished burning, your disc tray should open.

    Ripping CD to Xbox 360

      Insert the burned CD into your Xbox 360. Make sure your Xbox 360 hard drive or memory unit is properly installed into your console.

      Select your Music Library, if your CD doesn't load instantly.

    • 8

      Select the "Current Disc" option.

    • 9

      Select the "Rip CD" option.

    • 10

      Select the "Rip CD" option again. You can deselect any check-marked songs that you don't want ripped.

      Enter in any album, artist, and/or genre information you would like this music to be ripped under before selecting the "Save Changes" option.

    • 12

      Edit individual songs for title, artist and/or genre information while they are ripping to your memory device.

    • 13

      Select the "Done" option when the ripping is finished.

Tips & Warnings

  • You must have sufficient space on your hard drive or memory unit before ripping new music.
