How to Install Yahoo Messenger Version 6.0

Yahoo! Messenger is a program that allows users to chat online with their Yahoo! email account IDs. Yahoo! Messenger launched in 1999 and has gone through many changes over the years. The old versions of Yahoo! Messenger were only for chatting with instant messages, while the newer versions include voice and video chatting capabilities. However, if you long for the nostalgia of Yahoo! Messenger 6.0, you can install it on a PC running Windows 98 to Windows XP.

Instructions

1. Uninstall any other versions of Yahoo! Messenger that are installed on your computer. Go to the "Control Panel" in the Start menu and click on "Add/Remove Programs." Choose Yahoo! Messenger and click "Uninstall."

2. Download Yahoo! Messenger 6.0 (see Resources). Click "Run."

3. Click "Next" and agree to the Yahoo! Messenger 6.0 terms of service by clicking "Yes."

4. Click "Install" and "Finish."
