"Operation Flashpoint" is a hardcore combat-simulation game for PC. The game's acclaim comes from its fastidious attention to detail and realistic combat physics, weapon modeling and politically nuanced plot. Several add-ons exist for "Operation Flashpoint," both official and unofficial. The official "Operation Flashpoint: Resistance" patch updates the game to include civilian and combat vehicles; several unofficial modifications (or "mods") for this patch allow driving of fully functional police cars, complete with sirens and flashing lights.

Instructions

1. Download the police mod for "Operation Flashpoint: Resistance."

2. Unzip the mod and copy both files to the "Add-ons" directory for "Operation Flashpoint." By default, this directory is "C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Operation Flashpoint\Addons."

3. Start a game of "Operation Flashpoint: Resistance." Police cars will be patrolling the game's streets. Find an unmanned car and commandeer it by opening the "User Action" menu and choosing "Mount."

4. Open the "User Action" menu within the car and choose "Siren on." The car's sirens and flashing lights will activate until you choose "Siren off" from the "User Action" menu.

Tips & Warnings

• The police mod for "Operation Flashpoint" requires the "Resistance" add-on to run. If you don't have this add-on, it can be purchased from PC game retailers or via link in the "Resources" section.
