The MSN toolbar, or search bar, can be handy for quick searches and tools for your web browser. You also may have other toolbars too, or you just don't use it as often as you thought you would. Remove the MSN search bar from your browser to get rid of the clutter or save space on your computer. When you remove the search bar, you can continue to use MSN for your searches by visiting the MSN home page.

Instructions

      Click the Start menu at the bottom of the screen.

      Click "Control Panel."

      Open "Add/Remove Programs" or "Uninstall a Program."

    • 4

      Select "MSN Toolbar" from the list of installed programs.

    • 5

      Click "Remove" or "Uninstall" at the top.

    • 6

      Confirm the deletion and wait for it to uninstall. Next time you open your browser, the MSN search should no longer show up at the top of the window.
