How to Decorate a Head Table With Ivy & Lights
Ivy and white strand lights add a romantic touch to your wedding head table. The leafy green vines and tiny white lights correspond with many kinds of wedding decor, especially with flower or garden party-themed weddings. Ivy is an ideal decorating choice for brides on a budget; the vine is cheap and readily available. You can choose from several ways to incorporate ivy and lights into head table decor, including in topiaries and garlands.

Instructions
-
Head Table Centerpiece
-
1
Fill the bottom of a 10-inch pot with potting soil.
-
2
Transplant the ivy into the pot. Surround the root ball with a potting mix made from a 50:50 peat and water solution after potting.
-
-
3
Anchor a spherical topiary frame into the pot, pushing to lodge the spikes into the soil.
-
4
Wind ivy runners (the plant's long leaf-covered vines) around the wire frame.
-
5
Tie the twisted runners in place with raffia.
-
6
Wrap the ivy-covered frame with a strand of LED lights.
Head Table Garland
-
7
Cover an evergreen garland with spanish moss; wind florist's wire around the moss-covered segments to hold the moss in place, which will form the base of your ivy garland.
-
8
Wrap artificial ivy garland around the base. Wind florist's wire around the ivy to secure it to the base.
-
9
Cut stems from artificial ivy sprays, and wrap their ends around the garland stems. Secure in place with florist's tape if necessary.
-
10
Twine a strand of LED string lights around the ivy garland, and use floral tape to secure them in place.
-
11
Mount the garland along the edge of the table top, securing it in place with saddle staples.
