How to Grill Fish on a George Foreman Grill

How to Grill Fish on a George Foreman Grill thumbnail
Fish can be grilled beautifully with the George Foreman grill.

In 1994, George Foreman and a company named Salton teamed up to produce a line of indoor grilling machines. These indoor grills cook from both the top and the bottom and also have a unique slanted body, which causes fat to drip down the grill and away from your food. Since food is grilled from both sides, it takes less time to cook than with a traditional grill. Most thin, light meats such as fish can be fully cooked in just a few minutes. In order to get the best results, you need to know the correct grilling time. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Put the George Foreman grill on a flat surface and plug it into an electrical outlet. Let it preheat for five to 10 minutes.

    • 2

Add your favorite spices, herbs or seasoning to the fish while the grill warms up. The flavor will be infused throughout the fish if you add it before you cook it.

    • 3

Put the fish on the grill and close the lid. Let it cook for three minutes for every ½ inch thickness of the fish. For example, if the fish is 1 inch thick, let it cook for six minutes.

    • 4

Poke the center of the fish with a knife to make sure it is fully cooked. The fish should be flaky and no longer have an opaque appearance.
