There are two ways you can draw your gun in Call of Duty 4. One style is the basic way to draw your gun in the game, and the other is a perk that can help you kill more people. Using the right technique can mean more kills and more points, so you will level up faster and get more guns and perks.

Instructions

  1. Basic Draw

    • 1

Press the "Start" button on your controller.

    • 2

Select the "Pick-a-Class" option on the screen by scrolling with the arrow keys and pressing "X."

    • 3

Choose your primary weapon and your secondary weapon in the new menu by scrolling with the arrow keys and pressing "X."

    • 4

Press "B" to leave the menus.

    • 5

Press "Y" to select the gun you would like to use. Every time you press "Y," the gun will change from your primary to your secondary weapon and back. Once the gun is selected, your character will automatically draw the gun. This style of draw can be used any time in the game.

    Last Stand

    • 6

Go into "Create a Class" in the menu in the pregame lobby.

    • 7

Choose "Last Stand" from the options in the menu by using your arrow keys and pressing "X." Last Stand is a perk that is unlocked at Rank 8 Corporal.

    • 8

Become fatally wounded for Last Stand to activate. Last Stand automatically will draw your pistol for you when you are about to die so you can kill as many enemies as possible in those last few moments.

Tips & Warnings

  • Try using the Steady Aim perk to increase your accuracy when you draw your gun without sighting it. This is a good choice for low-accuracy weapons and for players who like to shoot and run.

  • Last Stand doesn't work if you are hit by an explosion.
