How to Charge the Battery for a Sony Walkman
The Sony Walkman has advanced from a cassette playing machine to a device that can store and playback digital music. The MP3 player is powered by an internal rechargeable battery that drains as the device is used. When the screen on the Sony Walkman reads "Low Battery. Please Charge," you need to charge the battery to continue listening to your favorite music.

Plug the small end of the USB cable into the "WM-Port" jack on the bottom of the Sony Walkman.

Connect the opposite end of the USB cable to a USB jack on your computer. The computer will start charging the Sony Walkman's battery.

Remove the USB cable from the Sony Walkman when the battery indicator in the upper right corner of the device's LCD screen reads "Full." A full recharge, from a drained battery, takes approximately three hours.

The battery in the Sony Walkman is shipped from the factory in a low charged state. Fully charge the battery before the first use.
