How to Buy a New Computer With No Credit
If you want to purchase a new computer but lack credit, you may find that your options are limited. Computer costs can range from several hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on the type of system you are interested in buying. However, it is possible to buy a computer with no credit history, but be aware that your lack of credit history could end up costing you more money in the end.

1
Pay with cash or a debit card if you have the money to purchase the computer. You do not need credit to purchase using a debit card.

2
Go to the bank at which you have an account and apply for a loan to purchase the computer. Even though you have no credit, you may be able to get a small loan if you have been a longtime customer and consistently have a high balance in your account. For example, if you want a $1,500 loan and regularly have $1,000 in your bank account the bank may not see you as a risk regardless of your lack of credit history.

Try rent-to-own stores located across the country. Rent-A-Center is a popular national chain that offers new computers. No credit is required on rent-to-own transactions, and payments can be made weekly, bi-weekly or monthly until the purchase is paid off. You can use your computer as you pay it off.

Consider a layaway transaction if the retailer offers it. In layaway, you make regular payments until you pay for the cost of the computer. Once you reach that point you are able to take the computer home with you.

Use a co-signer. If you really need a new computer and cannot get one any other way, try asking someone with good credit to be a co-signer on a loan or financing plan.
